Welcome to the Wake County YRs!

Hello, my name is Dave Reynolds. I am a sales engineer for Aeroglide Corporation which is headquartered in Cary and is the largest conveyor dryer manufacturer in the world. In the past my career required extensive travel, which has taken me to nearly 50 countries on 6 continents. I graduated from NC State University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Management. I was born in Virginia and grew up in Greensboro, NC. After working in upstate New York after graduation, I moved back to Raleigh in 2002.

As a Young Republican living in Wake County, the reason I got involved with the YRs was to get more educated about local politics and find out what really happens in Wake County. I have recently been able to get more involved with several non-profit organizations and downtown projects.

My goal as Chairman of the Wake YRs is to generate more excitement about the Republican Party within the rapidly growing young professional community. I would like to create an interactive environment in which young professional Republicans can contribute to the community, make connections and have fun while helping Republican candidates get elected.

Like many young professionals, I am relatively new to the world of politics and have a desire to learn about the current issues not only in Wake County and North Carolina, but also on a national and international level. I feel I can recognize and help address the issues that most young professional Republicans have in Wake County and as Chairman, I will rely on several individuals with political experience to assist and advise as we move the club forward. I ask everyone to tell their friends and colleagues about the Wake YRs and get involved with the organization or individual campaigns in any form. We only have a short time until the November Elections and we’d appreciate everyone’s support

With the launch of the statewide GOP Tailgate Contest, many newswires, bloggers and GOP newsletters have run articles on the grassroots campaign and contest. New members are joining our organization and we welcome you to join the excitement!
